SKEET AND TRAP SHOOTING IN CLOSE-IN MARYLAND  

LENN'S ADVENTURES TAKES US TO A SKEET AND TRAP RANGE IN LANHAM, MARYLAND

SHOOTING CLAY PIGEONS IS FUN FOR ALL, YOUNG AND OLD.  If you love to shoot clay pigeons, there are two public ranges that are a comfortable driving distance from all areas in MD and Virginia.   For beginners, the range offers instruction on Saturdays.  Last week I shot a round with two young shooters, about 10 years shooting their first full round.  Great fun for youngsters, of all ages.

The range offers a comfortable clubhouse with rental skeet and trap guns, shells, supplies, and lots of room to just sit and relax.  This range has been open for many years.  I've shot there since the early 1980s.  They offer Skeet, Trap and Sporting Clays. 

We were at the range early on Wednesday, a time when few are around.  One weekends, the range is quite busy.  

Station #5 low house, a difficult one.                            This range throws orange birds.  Easy to spot.

With a new skeet shotgun, a Winchester Model 101, I just had to take an afternoon off and shoot a few clay birds to see how the gun moved.  One of the brokers in the Homefinders.com network joined me since he lives quite close to the range and we enjoyed a couple of hours of . . . .  "PULL, SHOOT and, hopefully, "SMOKE"
